SKIN + RAINBOW SIX SIEGE 2022
ANNOUNCEMENT
THE PROJECT
R6 Share is a revenue-sharing deal between Ubisoft and esport teams in Rainbow Six Siege. Each team develops a weapon skin, which will be available for purchase inside the game.
Revenue obtained from the purchase of these items is then shared with teams participating in the program.
I was responsible for creating Team oNe eSports' weapon skin for 2022.

SKIN THEME
As Cyberpunk was on the rise, I decided to follow a similar aesthetic line, but mainly mixed with synthwave: retrofuturism.
I created a character to print the art of the weapon skin, which would be an android from the esports team. The color of the logo on her headphone and eyes was the same I used on the 2021 skin mage's staff, to keep both as part of the same universe.

PLAYER'S ILLUSTRATIONS
Following the synthwave aesthetic, I created illustrations of the Rainbow Six lineup players with an 80's animation style.

THE ANNOUNCEMENT
I created some quick frame by frame animations with the weapon skin's character, paying homage to different periods of animation.
Astro Boy reference, as well as rubberhose animations of 1930.

Reference to the iconic Akira bike slide.

THE SOUNDTRACK
A theme song was created for the skin announcement, which would also be released on spotify. For this, I created an animated artwork that would be used in spotify looping videos.

I thought of making the android in the middle of the city, with some frame-by-frame animated elements.
After some sketches, I decided to make her inside a subway, crossing the city full of neon lights and advertisements to buy the game's skin.

LYRIC VIDEO
A lyric video clip of the song was posted, using the players' illustrations. Also, I created another illustration with everyone together, in a neon city dominated by skin advertisements.
I inserted several elements from Rainbow Six and also from the previous skin, from 2021.

I created a city art that worked in a loop, repeating its elements and separated into layers for the background, middle and front, being able to animate a parallax effect later.
